From its harmony-laden beginning to its baroque, anthemic conclusion, the album is loaded with musical ideas. It is an absurd buffet of sound and aesthetics. There is a ridiculous floor show going on, and Jade Hairpins tries to pile those ideas higher and higher and hit the floor. Instead, the elements (punk splicing, power pop, baggy, funk, and Italo disco are just a few examples) are not only held high in the air, they defy gravity and convention.
