Born in 1960, Kenny Garrett, one of the foremost saxophonists and artists of our time, presents his fourth album on Mack Avenue! At the age of 18, he joined the Duke Ellington Orchestra. In the 1980s, he was a member of the bands of Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, and Woody Shaw, almost simultaneously. In his recent works, Kenny Garrett has expressed his gratitude to the predecessors who brought him up, selected new artists, and paved the way for the future. In this work, the audience and listeners seem to have been the key. In the modern era, there is no jazz band that can engage the audience, unite the venue, and excite them as much as Kenny Garrett. Kenny himself says that he has been inspired by the audience dancing and enjoying themselves there. Furthermore, when he performed via FaceTime and saw his daughter smile, he knew instantly: This is it! The title he chose for this work is, quite simply!? "Do Your Dance!" Kenny says it's a work imbued with the message: (No matter how others dance) "Dance the way you want to!"That performance shakes listeners to their core and drives them forward!
