Sharon Van Etten

Sharon Van Etten completes her sixth album in three years. We've Been Going About This All Along, a self-produced work that clearly expresses the beauty and power that rescues us from our misery, is released. Sharon Van Etten has always been an artist who helps people understand the world around them. Her sixth album, We've Been Going About ThisAll Wrong, is an examination of how we feel, grieve, and reclaim our own will when we think the world might be falling apart. How do we protect what is most precious to us from destructive forces beyond our control? How do we salvage what we value when all seems lost? And if we fail to do so, have we given as much love as we can in the meantime? Have we tried hard enough? This album articulates the beauty and power that can deliver us from such devastation. Unlike Van Etten's previous albums, no songs from the album are released prior to its release. The ten songs on the album are designed to be listened to in sequence, all at once, in order to tell a larger story of hope, loss, longing, and resilience. Things aren't dark. They're just dim," she reminds us. Sharon Van Etten is a singer-songwriter from New Jersey, U.S.A. She made her debut in 2009 with the album "Because I Was in Love," and her song "Love More" from her second album "Epic" in 2010 was covered by Bon Iver and The National After signing with Jagjaguwar, she released her third album "Tramp" in 2012.Produced by The National's Aaron Dessner, the album was a chart-topping hit in the U.S. Their fourth album, 2014's Are We There, received rave reviews and was named one of the best albums of the year by Rolling Stone and numerous other media outlets. In January 2019, she released her fifth album, "Remind Me Tomorrow," produced by John Congleton, which was named Best New Music by Pitchfork. In 2016, she made her debut as an actress.
