Born in Russia and Serbia to a family of musicians, Kseniya Jankovic, cello, played with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of nine and studied with Mstislav Rostropovich, Pierre Fournier and André Navarre, and Jacqueline Bourget-Mauneli, piano, studied at the Geneva Conservatory and at age 13 made an impressive debut in Paris playing Mozart concertos at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Jacqueline Bourget-Maunyry, who studied at the Geneva Conservatory and made her impressive debut at the age of 13 playing Mozart's concerto at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, played Franck & Chopin at the historic Manor House in Switzerland. The view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Geneva, the architecture of Château Farrault, and the musical history of the room where the recording took place strongly connected the two women to their work. It is also important to note that Bourget-Maunouri studied with pianist Jean Facina, who inherited the traditional Polish piano technique that dates back to Paderewski and Chopin. Tokyo M-Plus
