Ysaÿe: Unaccompanied Violin Sonatas," and in 2012, she made a striking Japanese debut with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, performing a program centered on Ysaÿe’s unaccompanied violin sonatas at the Musashino Civic Cultural Hall. She has performed with prestigious orchestras around the world, including the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. She has received numerous honors, including the “Recording of the Year” award in the Soloist category at the 2012 ICMA (International Classical Music Awards). She is also dedicated to social contributions, serving as an ambassador for Handicap International in Cambodia and working to support underprivileged children. This album shines a light on masterpieces by female composers who have been unjustly underrated or overlooked in music history. From Amanda Renthen-Meier to Dora Pejacevic, the works included here have been carefully selected not merely as “music composed by women,” but as pieces possessing outstanding artistry and unique sensibilities.
