A Road Less Travelled is a cantata for tenor and guitar based on a poem by Edward Thomas, a poet who was killed in World War I. It is a quiet reflection on existence through the metaphor of a road. The Garden Path, a series of songs for mezzo-soprano and string quartet based on a poem by Amy Lowell, depicts a bountiful garden and reflects on outside influences and deep inner contemplation. In "Other Earths and Skies," Vikram Seth's translation of Li Bai's Chinese poem echoes in English, while the tenor and oboe engage in a meditative dialogue. Noteworthy is the participation of Mark Padmore, a renowned tenor who has won the Gramophone Prize in the UK. Tokyo M-Plus
