The last three Beethoven sonatas (Nos. 30, 31, and 32), also regarded as "the three great piano sonatas of the late period," showcase the exploration, insight, and imagination that are essential to Melvin Tan's fusion of artistic qualities. Melvin Tan, who says that working on and approaching Beethoven's piano sonatas "sometimes feels like climbing Mount Everest," demonstrates a mature pianism in the final three sonatas, which "everyone agrees changed the course of music history.
