The Bevan Family Choir of the New Generation! Led by Mary Bevan, the Bevan Family is a British musical family active in the fields of vocal music and church choral music. The original Bevan Family Choir consisted of 11 of the 14 siblings and released their debut album (LP) in 1975, directed by their father Roger. He was succeeded by his second son, David, who also became the Assistant Music Director of Westminster Cathedral. The family musical tradition continued to flourish, and in 2013 some of the second generation relatives formed a new family choir, which was named the "Bevan Family Consort," with 15 to 22 members (seven of whom are professional singers) out of a total of 53 relatives. This album features a program of church music that the family has sung and loved, from Palestrina and Tallis to works by Holst, Stanford, and David Bevan (Mary's father). Tokyo M-Plus
