Anna Lapwood is an organist & conductor who became Director of Music (Director of Music) at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, when she was only 21 years old. While at Oxford University, she was the first woman to be awarded an organ scholarship in the 560-year history of Maudlin College. She currently works throughout Europe as an organist and choral conductor, and as a broadcaster regularly appears on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4, as well as hosting BBC Young Musicians 2020/21 and the BBC Proms 2021. Of "Images (Images)," which will be Lapwood's solo debut album, he says, "One of my favorite things about being an organist is the exquisite feeling of practicing late at night in a church or cathedral. The doors are locked, the lights are often off, and time seems to flow differently. Recording in a cathedral on a chilly night, I tried to capture some of that magic." said Anna Lapwood.
