Gabriel Prokofiev (Gabriel Prokofiev), whose grandfather was the great Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, is a London-based composer, producer and DJ. With classical music as his roots, he creates his own unique music incorporating club, hip-hop, and other dance music and electronics. This is his second concerto recording for Signum Classics, following his previous release (SIGCD 584), which included the "Saxophone Concerto" and the "Bass Drum Concerto. The Turntable Concerto No. 1, Gabriel Prokofiev's first concerto and the work that introduced him to the classical music world, has been performed more than 55 times around the world since it made an international impact at the BBC Proms in 2011.
