XTC's 12th studio album, "Wasp Star: Apple Venus Volume 2," released in 2000, has been reissued on the APE label. This album is a masterpiece of "20th century XTC," a collection of songs arranged in an electric band style, "like a softer version of 'Black Sea,'" according to Andy Partridge, and a counterpart to "Apple Venus Volume 1," an acoustic album released the previous year. The songs include "Stupidly Happy," a pop number that is full of Andy's unique style, "We're All Light," a song with Andy's typical sarcasm, and "Standing In For Joe," a song with Colin Moulding's unique soft melody, which is just like "Black Sea" and "English This is the album that has lowered the spirits of the fans who have been fascinated by XTC's works including "Black Sea" and "English Settlements". This product is identical to the 2015 reissue (APECD115).
