The latest edition of "The Elements Of King Crimson - Tour Box," the annual two-CD digibook of rare King Crimson recordings, will be released in time for the band's 2021 US tour, "Music is our Friend. Of the 29 tracks, 22 are being released for the first time on CD, including alternate takes, mixes, rehearsals, live performances, studio takes, and various other rare sources/materials. CD1 features tracks that focus on drums and percussion, as if following in the footsteps of the band's 2013-2016 triple drum lineup (Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, and Pat Mastelotto), while CD2 features tracks from Giles Giles & Fripp to CD2 features a selection of rare sound/materials from all eras, from Giles Giles & Fripp to "Cadence and Cascade" from the Boz Burrell era, John Wetton's "Book Of Saturday", and "Deception Of The Thrush", a well-known song from the Project (ProjeKct) name, and more song-based content. The contents of this album are more in-depth on a music basis. Included is a 28-page booklet with introductory notes by Robert Fripp and liner notes by leading Crimson researcher Sid Smith focusing on the drummers in Crimson history.
