The up-and-coming U.S. label Sacred Bones releases an album by the Chilean psychedelic band Forakzoid! Brooklyn-based label Sacred Bones has released an album by Forakzoid, a psychedelic band that is leading the burgeoning Chilean psychedelic movement, and was selected as one of NME's 20 songs you should listen to this week on February 11, 2015. Forakzoid's last album, "II," released in 2013, was a great piece of work with an extremely psychedelic sound, and now, "III," is even more powerful. Four tracks, clocking in at about 45 minutes, the band's influences from the ancient music of the Andes create a rich yet minimalist atmosphere for their contemporary sound. The first single, "Electric," at nearly 12 minutes, features distant vocals, repetitive monotonous guitar riffs, and eerie synths. The band has appeared at prestigious festivals such as Primavera and Lollapalooza, and their last album, II, was featured in Pitchfork and the New York Times, among other media outlets.
