Carsten Dahl

Description:

Carsten Dahl, one of Denmark's leading pianists, has released his first album on ACT, a collection of standard and popular songs and the rhythm section of "Experience", which expresses the "present" in a realistic way. He has released a number of works on the prestigious Storyville label in Copenhagen. He is a very popular pianist with his swingy beats and bebop phrasing in the jazz tradition. He has also produced a unique Japanese work for Marshmallow Export, and is one of the most well-known European artists of his generation in Japan. Carsten Dahl's world has changed since 2010. He has released many works that are still abstract expressions that come from within, but after about 10 years, this new world of expression has been recorded in this work. However, after about 10 years since then, this work seems to have recorded a new world of expression.Eight of the ten songs are jazz standards and popular songs, including Danish folk songs. All the Things You Are," "You, the Night, and the Music," "Blue in Green," and "Withered Leaves" are all well-known standards, and Carsten has also selected songs that he has recorded in the past. The performance is not in the swingy four-beat style of his earlier recordings, but rather in a more abstract style, with the rhythm section of Nils Bo Davidsen and Stefan Pasborg of Experience, a unit whose main focus was on abstract expression, Here, the artist's emotions are expressed in a natural and fundamental way. In the sense that the melodies of the songs are left intact while the arrangements are added and expressed by the trio, some of the music is similar to Keith Jarrett's standard trio, but stylistically, the sound is European and cutting-edge. The sound is full of what could be described as Carsten Dahl's "venting" as he expresses himself as an artist. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Wynton Marsalis has played with Dave Liebman, Wynton Marsalis has played on more than 250 albums, and he has released more than 30 of his own leader albums, He has played on over 250 recordings and released over 30 of his own recordings as a leader, and is now over 50 years old. Recorded at Rainbow Studios, home of ECM and where Carsten has recorded his own recent work. The painting on the jacket was also done by Carsten Dahl himself, and in this way, the personal expression of the artist can be felt.
