Lisa Fershtman / Beethoven, Schubert Born in the Netherlands to Russian musicians, Lisa Fershtman began studying the violin at the age of five. She gained attention after attending master classes with Ivry Gitlis, Igor Oistrakh, and Aaron Rosand, where she garnered attention. Beginning in 1988, she studied with Hermann Krebbers at the Amsterdam Conservatory, followed by studies with Aida Kavafian at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, USA, and with David Takeeno in London. In 2007, she is scheduled to succeed Isabel van Kulen as artistic director of the Delft Music Festival in the Netherlands. Inon Balthanan is from Israel; she studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and is currently based in New York.
