Limited vinyl reissue of the 1986 release from MUSIC ON VINYL! Formed in 1978 by Roberto Geal and Gabi Delgado-Lopez, the band later included members of PYROLATOR, DER PLAN, FEHLFARBEN, and LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES, among others. DAF's 1986 album, which influenced post-punk, German New Wave, electronic body music, and even the techno scene such as Takkyu Ishino, is now available on MUSIC ON VINYL! After the release of this album, JOHN PEEL called them "the grandfather of techno" and Chicago house pioneer ADONIS described this album as "House before there was House ("1st Step To Heaven was House before there was House").
