John Hiatt is a nine-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/musician from Indianapolis, IN. This album was recorded at the legendary RCA Studio B with Grammy-winning artist/producer Jerry Douglas and his band, The Jerry Douglas Band. In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, John Hiatt went to the historic RCA Studio B to work on Leftover Feelings. Half a century ago, Hiatt was living in a $15/week room on 16th Street in Nashville. It was less than a mile from RCA/Columbia Studios, the heart of what became known as "Music Row," the center of Nashville's music industry. Over the next 25 years, he became a grand master of song. For Leftover Feelings, Hiatt teamed up with multi-Grammy Award-winning artist/producer Jerry Douglas and his band, The Jerry Douglas Band.The album is a meeting of two wounded but victorious giants. There are Hiatt and Douglas, who create songs that should be Love Songs, Road Songs, Sly Songs, and Heart Songs. These were their songs and now they are our songs.
