The band is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019 with the release of an anthology that summarizes their career to date, which has been colored by beards, blues, bright red cars, and mofumofu guitars. Released in a big Texas-sized volume of three CDs and five analog LPs, "GOIN' 50" is the first time "That Little Ol' Band From Texas" (as the band themselves use to describe themselves) has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received numerous gold and The film captures the band's evolution into a "living legend" that has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has earned numerous gold and platinum discs. For listeners who find the Texas size too heavy, there is a compact, bite-sized CD set that covers 50 years in 75 minutes. The compact 1CD version of the album contains a wide range of songs, from the early works "Tush," "La Grange," "Cheap Sunglasses," and "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide," which are still very popular live, to "Gimme All Your Yourself," a top 40 hit in the U.S. released between 1983 and 1991, when the band dominated MTV with "beards and sunglasses, cars and a legion of beautiful women, and sometimes a moh-moh guitar. The album includes "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Legs," "Sleeping Bag," "Rough Boy," and "Velcro Fly," all Top 40 hits in the U.S. released between 1983 and 1991, when he took the world by storm with his "beard, sunglasses, car, army of beautiful women, and sometimes a fluffy guitar" and blasted his way to worldwide superstardom.
