Stone Temple Pilots is a band that followed this trend, but with a more hard rock sound and the overwhelming charisma of their rare frontman, they have made their name known around the world. Although they were regarded by some as a follower band from the grunge scene, their hard sound, swirling rhythms, dark aggression, and subtle expressiveness have resonated around the world as something unique and distinctive. The band's debut album "CORE" (1992) was their big breakthrough, and their second album "Purple" (1994) topped the U.S. charts in 1994, solidifying their position as one of the leading rock bands of the 1990s. In 1996, they released "TINY MUSIC...", which presented the scene with a sound that shifted from the grunge-tinged sound of their earlier albums to a sound that more closely reflected the band's true nature and opened them up to their own musicality.
