Description:

Based on the original multi-tracks that have lain dormant in Jeff Beck's archives for nearly 50 years, Jeff Beck and Carmine Appice have mixed the live recordings for this box set, and the sound is of such high quality that it has kicked out the many low-quality bootleg recordings that Beck had expressed dislike for. Recorded at the Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan in Osaka on May 18 and 19, 1973, this is the first official US release of the recordings, which were previously released in Japan only a few months after the show in Japan. The live recording at the Rainbow Theatre in London on January 26, 1974 is also an extremely rare and previously unreleased live recording, the first time it has been released in its complete form as an official live album. Live in Japan 1973" was recorded just a few months after the release of Beck Bogart & Apis' self-titled debut album. The powerful live performance of "Superstition," "Lady," "Livin' Alone," and almost all of the songs from their debut album are included on this album, and are recorded as if the band were releasing their unbridled energy in the form of music. The album also includes a trio performance of the Yardbirds' "Jeff's Boogie" and Jeff Beck Group songs such as "Morning Dew" and "Going Down. Live in London 1974" is a live recording made eight months after the Japan tour, just before the band broke up. At this London show, the band performed live songs such as "Satisfied," "Jizz With," and "Solid Lifter," which were to be included on their second studio album, which was never completed. Fifty years after the band's formation, Carmine Appice describes the time as "a fleeting experience.Jeff, Tim, and I were in a tremendous band together. Jeff, Tim, and I had a tremendous band together. But before we realized it, it was all over."(2/2)
