The Talking Heads were a N.Y. intelligence band led by David Byrne that had a very strong impact from the late 1970s through the 1980s. The band emerged in the midst of the New York punk movement of the late 1970s, making their impressive debut at CBGB's Summer Festival in 1976, followed by their album debut in 1977 with "Talking Heads: 77". At the time, they were the "most intelligent band" in New York City, and were attracting a great deal of attention as a promising new star. Their memorable first album "TALKING HEADS: 77", the first step in their brilliant career, is now available in a super deluxe edition! Featuring the latest remastering of the original album, numerous rare tracks, rare and previously unreleased outtakes, and a rare and previously unreleased live recording of the October 10, 1977 show at CBGB's in New York City, "TALKING HEADS: 77 ( SUPER DELUXE EDITION)" will be released in two forms: a luxurious 4-CD super deluxe edition consisting of 3 CDs + Blu-ray, and a 2-LP analog set containing the latest remastered soundtracks from the original album and rare tracks on two LPs.
