The new 2-CD set will include the latest remastering of the original album and a bonus disc of previously unreleased live recordings. This hot anniversary edition is like a time capsule that preserves the hard boogie and pure rock passion of FOGHAT's heyday! In the 1970s, FOGHAT gained popularity for their boogie hard rock with elements of Southern rock, and started out as a mixed Anglo-American band with members of the British blues band Savoy Brown and an American guitarist, and they signed with Beardsville Records, In 1972, they made their debut with a self-titled album produced by Todd Rundgren. Their fifth and biggest hit album, "FOOL FOR THE CITY," is back in a deluxe edition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release. FOOL FOR THE CITY" was released on September 15, 1975. Produced by the multi-talented bassist and producer Nick Jameson, who also handles bass and keyboards as well as production, this is an album that captures the hard boogie and pure rock intensity that FOGHAT is known for. The 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of "FOOL FOR THE CITY," a monumental work for FOGHAT, features the latest remastering of the original album on CD1 and previously unreleased material from two live performances at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom on CD2. CD2 contains previously unreleased material from two live performances at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom. These live recordings were mixed and mastered by Nick Jameson, who produced "FOOL FOR THE CITY" and the legendary 1977 live album "FOGHAT LIVE," at his studio in Reykjavik, Iceland. The CD also includes two live bonus tracks and an interview with original drummer Roger Earl and Jameson, which explores the making of "Slow Ride" and the magic of the "FOOL FOR THE CITY" sessions. The magic of the sessions is also included. FOGHAT's journey began in 1971 with classic rock hits like "Fool for The City," "Slow Ride," and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You," eight gold discs, one platinum disc, and one The band has made rock 'n' roll history with eight gold discs, one platinum disc, and one double platinum disc.
