In the 1970s, FOGHAT gained popularity for their boogie hard rock with elements of Southern rock, and started out as a mixed Anglo-American band with members of the British blues band Savoy Brown and an American guitarist, and they signed with Beardsville Records, In 1972, they made their debut with a self-titled album produced by Todd Rundgren. Their fifth and biggest hit album, "FOOL FOR THE CITY," is back in a deluxe edition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release. FOOL FOR THE CITY" was released on September 15, 1975. The 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of "FOOL FOR THE CITY," a monumental work for FOGHAT, features the latest remastering of the original album on CD1 and previously unreleased material from two live performances at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom on CD2. CD2 contains previously unreleased material from two live performances at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom. These live recordings were mixed and mastered by Nick Jameson, who produced "FOOL FOR THE CITY" and the legendary 1977 live album "FOGHAT LIVE," at his studio in Reykjavik, Iceland. The CD also includes two live bonus tracks and an interview with original drummer Roger Earl and Jameson, which explores the making of "Slow Ride" and the magic of the "FOOL FOR THE CITY" sessions. The magic of the sessions is also included.
