The release will be available in three formats: a deluxe 5-disc box set containing 3 CDs, a Blu-ray, and an LP; a 2-CD set pairing the newly remastered original album with rarities; and a 2-LP set featuring the same pairing. This '5150 (EXPANDED EDITION)' features the original album's 2026 remastered audio, directly remastered from the original master tapes under the supervision of the band's longtime engineer Don Randy. It also includes carefully selected 7-inch single edits, extended versions of 12-inch singles, and live recordings originally featured on the B-sides of the singles at the time. These are contained across two CDs and two LPs. 5150 With Sammy Hagar newly welcomed as vocalist, recording began in late 1985 at Eddie's California studio "5150." Released on March 24, 1986, as the first work of the reborn Van Halen, this album is 5150. This seventh studio album, featuring smash hits like "Dreams" and "Why Can't This Be Love," debuted at the top of the US album charts, marking the band's first No. 1 album and becoming one of the most commercially successful albums in Van Halen's career.
