Formed in Norway in 1982, a-ha—Norway’s premier pop group—leapt into the ranks of globally popular artists after their 1985 single “Take On Me” became a worldwide smash hit thanks to its innovative sound and music video, and they continued to release hit after hit. As the first Norwegian artists to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and commanding immense respect from the various bands dominating today’s music scene, they are truly a “defining” band of their era. Released in 2005, marking the 20th anniversary of their 1985 debut album, their eighth studio album, *ANALOGUE*, was released as their first release under a new label after leaving Warner, and truly marked the "beginning of a new chapter for a-ha." To commemorate the 20th anniversary of this hidden gem, a 2-CD set has been released featuring the original album’s newly remastered audio, plus 21 bonus tracks—including 15 previously unreleased tracks such as B-sides, remixes, demos, and alternate versions! Additionally, it has been confirmed that a 2-LP vinyl edition of this *ANALOGUE (20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION)* will be released as a limited-edition item for Record Store Day 2026. Singles such as “Celice,” “Analogue (All I Want),” and “Cosy Prison.” Among these, “Analogue (All I Want)” became their first UK Top 10 single since 1988’s “Stay on These Roads.” The album itself marked a brilliant new beginning, debuting at No. 1 in their home country of Norway—their eighth consecutive No. 1 since their debut—and reaching the Top 30 in countries around the world. Graham Nash also contributed backing vocals to the album. From their 1985 debut album *HUNTINGHIGHANDLOW* to their seventh studio album *LIFELINES*, released in 2002, every one of their albums reached No. 1 on the charts in their home country of Norway. They subsequently moved to Polydor and released two albums, and garnered overwhelming support, with total album sales exceeding 50 million copies worldwide. However, the band announced their breakup following their 2009 world tour. Subsequently, in 2015—marking the 30th anniversary of their debut album’s release—they reunited to perform at a festival in Brazil. The frenzy spread worldwide, leading to a series of tour announcements. In the same year, they released their 10th studio album—their first in six years. In 2022, a documentary film was released to commemorate the band’s 40th anniversary, and they released their latest album, *TRUENORTH*.
