"FACEVALUE," the landmark solo debut album released in 1981 by Phil Collins—one of Britain’s greatest hitmakers—which reached No. 1 on the UK charts, (Japanese title: *Whispers in the Night*)—released in 1981 and which topped the UK charts—is now available as a 4-LP special edition titled *FACEVALUE (FULLVALUE)* to commemorate the album’s 45th anniversary. In addition to the original album, cut using half-speed mastering, this set generously features live recordings, demos, and outtakes—including rare, previously unreleased material—spread across four 180-gram vinyl discs. With cumulative worldwide sales of 150 million albums, Collins—who joined Genesis in 1970—has also been active with Brand X, as a solo artist, and as a producer, earning him the nickname “the world’s busiest man.” A legend who has won Grammy Awards, an Academy Award for film scoring, and a Golden Globe Award, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Genesis in 2010 and as a solo artist in 2026. The 4-disc box set includes half-speed remastered audio by Miles Shawell of Abbey Road, live performances of “In the Air Tonight” and “The Roof Is Leaking” from *The Secret Policeman’s Other Ball*, two previously unreleased live tracks from concerts in 1982 and 1985, a previously unreleased outtake of an experimental cover of The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows,” a previously unreleased full version of “Over the Rainbow,” and detailed liner notes featuring a recent interview by Tom Doyle. A separate Blu-ray edition is also available.
