The Rolling Stones' third import remastered release! This is the album that led to the restoration of Mick and Keith's relationship and the first major world tour in eight years (with the first show in Japan in February 1990). This was the last album in which Bill Wyman participated. Original release date: September 23, 1989; album chart recordings: #2 in the U.K. and #3 in the U.S. It was released shortly after the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and coincided with the arena tour that fans had been waiting for. Recording took place at Air Studios in Montserrat, a British overseas territory and a volcanic island in the Caribbean Sea, and at Olympic Studio in London.The album, which reached the Top 3 on the U.S. and U.K. album charts, also includes the Top 5 U.S. singles chart hit 'Mixed Emotion', which features the band's trademark guitar riffs in abundance, and 'Rock And A Hard Place'. Keith frequently plays the ballad, 'Slipping Away', in concert, while the incredibly unique 'Almost Hear You Sigh' charted. ---
