Blue Note releases the latest trio work by Bill Frisell, a leading guitarist in the contemporary music scene. After releasing a duo work with Thomas Morgan last year on ECM and a new project=t harmony on Blue Note in 2019, Bill Frisell is releasing a trio work already. The trio consists of Thomas Morgan (b) and Rudy Royston (ds), who have toured with Frisell for the past several years and last year shared the stage at the Village Vanguard, a jazz club in New York City called the "sacred place of jazz. Frisère says he was eager to record this album, "This album is all about the relationship that Rudy and Thomas, and I, have built through their music. We've been playing together for the last few years, but we had nothing to prove it. So I wanted to record it and leave it behind. I wanted to prove that playing with them wasn't magical in my imagination, but real." This is the long-awaited work that the band is confident of. The album features a variety of songs, some familiar to fans who have played with them many times, and others that they have only played once.They say they valued "freshness" because they had toured together for so many years. The album is produced by Lee Townsend, who has produced many of Frizzell's albums. This is an album that Frisell has created with the members he trusts most.
