Ringo Starr's first studio album in two years and 20th in total is now available. Paul McCartney joins Ringo on bass and backing vocals for a cover of John Lennon's classic "Grow Old With Me" (from the album "Milk and Honey"). Ringo's cover version of "Money", which John had sung on "With The Beatles" (1963), is also performed! Other members of the band include Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Dave Stewart, Benmont Tench, Steve Lukather, Nathan East, Colin Hay, Richard Page, Warren Ham, Windy Wagner, Kari Kimmel, and many more. The album was produced at his home recording studio, "Rockabella West. I chose "Grow Old With Me" because I just loved it. I sang it to the best of my ability. I sang my best, and I think I sang my best with John in mind. I really wanted Paul to play on this song. He agreed to join me. He came to my studio, played bass, and even sang a little with me. John was involved in this song, and I was involved, and Paul was involved, too. I didn't do it to promote the album, I did it to create a buzz.I just wanted to record this song with Paul. If you listen carefully to the string arrangement that Jack provided for this track, you will notice that the phrase "Here Comes The Sun" is quoted. So all four of us had a hand in this track. --- Ringo Starr
