Featuring Damon Albarn, Skepta, Sampa the Great, Danny Brown, and many other splendid guests! Tony Allen, the drummer and king of Afrobeat, passed away on April 30, 2020. His groove, which Brian Eno called "the greatest drummer of all time," continues to attract not only traditional fans but also many younger audiences through remixes and other recordings. This album is regarded as Tony Allen's posthumous work, recorded just before his death. Although he had been involved in adventurous projects in recent years, such as an Art Blakey tribute and a collaboration with Jeff Mills, his concept for this album was hip-hop.Reflecting his desire to "introduce the younger generation to the world with great talent," the album features a wide range of talented up-and-coming artists such as Nah Eat, Colliatown Odity, and Lava La Rue, as well as the likes of Skepta, Danny Brown, and Sampa the Great. The experimental spirit of the album continues to the very end. The album is a rich and fulfilling experience that shows the adventurous spirit and creativity of Tony Allen, who never lost his experimental spirit until the very end of his life. The first song recorded on this album, "Cozmosis," features Ben Okri and Skepta, as well as Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz).
