Coppe's latest work is a minimal solo piano piece! A return to the electric piano first touched in childhood! The tranquil sound spun out in these difficult times! Koppe has been surprising the world by transcending genres and time and space, involving various collaborators. Following the retro sci-fi jazz album "milk" (2017) and the opera x modular synth "na na me na opera" (2019), his latest work is a surprisingly minimal solo piano piece! The music for "Mitsu (MITSU // 25 RPM)" was born from an improvisation on an old Nippon Columbia electric piano that was gathering dust in a corner of the studio. The album features six piano solos and one cover of Chaplin's "Smile" sung by Koppe (featuring Jacob Kohler on piano and Jeff Curry on double bass on this track only), for a total of seven tracks. The album is simpler than any of his previous works, and is essentially built on repetition of minimalist phrases.Combined with the sound of the electric piano, which is also processed with effects by Jakey, a close friend of mine, the sound of this album reminds me of Eno and Harold Budd's "Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror" (1980), or even further back, the music of Erik Satie, who is considered the originator of ambient and minimal music. The artwork of this album is also reminiscent of the music of Erik Satie, the originator of ambient and minimalist music. The artwork for this album was designed by Designers Republic, and the seemingly simple but complex combination of layers and textures interacts exquisitely with the soundscape created by Koppe. The album was also mastered by Grammy-winning Mark Urselli, who has worked with John Zorn's Tzadik label, Laurie Anderson, Roy Hargrove, and many others. The LP, pressed in limited quantities, is available on fluorescent pink vinyl.Carly Rae Jepsen continues to create hit songs that "make you want to listen to it on the day you fall in love," such as "Call Me Maybe," which was No. 1 in the U.S. for nine consecutive weeks, and "I Really Like You," a music video with a catchy world view that became a hit in Japan. One year has passed since her third album "Dedicated," which was released on her biggest Japan tour. This is the best pop album ever made, consisting of unreleased songs that could not be included on the album. This album "Dedicated Side B" is composed of unreleased songs that could not be included in the hit album "Dedicated" released in 2019. To celebrate the first anniversary of the release of "Dedicated", Carly sent out this surprise album to the world without any announcement!
