The opening track "Alone" has been released prior to the album release. Commenting on "Alone," which will be the opening track on "Songs Of A Lost World," Robert Smith said the following. This is the song that unlocked the keys to the album." The moment we recorded part of the song, we knew it was the right choice for the opening track, and we felt we had a vision for the entire album. For a long time, I struggled to find the right lyrics for the opening song of the album. I had been working around the simple idea of 'being lonely,' but I always had the feeling in the back of my mind that the first phrase had already been chosen.
