The repertoire heard on this album is thoughtful, moving, fun, and intuitively exciting, and includes Crispell's "Rounds," Peacock's "Requiem," "December Wings," Motian's "Conception Vessel," and other New Jazz There are also well-known New Jazz classics such as Peacock's "Requiem," "December Wings" and Motian's "Conception Vessel. Also included are some surprisingly effective free improvisational ballads. The musicians' interaction is truly exceptional, as leader Marilyn Crispell says, and the 2001 album, which has been described as "one of the great piano trios of today," is now available for the first time on vinyl.
