New album after 4 years on the road! Lord announced this album announcement on June 21, the summer solstice local time, and wrote in his newsletter: "Hello my babes, Happy Summer Solstice! "Hello my babes, Happy Summer Solstice. For those of you who don't know, the summer solstice is the longest day of the year when the sun makes its longest passage through the sky. The longest and brightest day of the year. Culturally, we have been celebrating the solstice for thousands of years with songs, dances, rituals, fires, and feasts. A day of singing, dancing, rituals, fires, feasting, and toasting to a bountiful harvest. A day worth celebrating." Thus, he wrote that June 21 is a perfect day for celebration and announced that his new album, Solar Power, will be released. Lord had this to say about the new album:. "This album is a celebration of nature and an attempt to immortalize the deep transcendental feelings we experience when we are outdoors.When I feel heartache, sadness, deep love, confusion, I turn to the natural world for answers. I have learned to exhale and listen. And that's how I ended up with this piece."
