Grammy/Emmy Award-winning multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Harry Connick, Jr. retreated to his home studio during the 2020 Lockdown to create this new album. Long regarded as one of America's finest vocalists/pianists, the breadth of Connick's talent is on full display in this powerful work, with Connick writing and arranging every song, playing every instrument, and singing every part, except for the familiar trad. The album cover and music video "Amazing Grace" were also planned and directed by Harry's daughter, Georgia Connick. In his liner notes, Harry describes his personal journey in creating this unique musical work. Connick's thoughts on the film are commented below. 'In addition to the familiar traditional songs, I have written and recorded new songs that speak to my experiences during the lockdown. Like many of us, I felt all the emotions that faith or lack of faith can elicit: joy, sadness, doubt, certainty, melancholy, and inspiration.Even though many of the songs are Christian, my hope is that they will resonate with people of all faiths."
