A renowned female student of Ruzhchiková. Vol. 2 of J.S. Bach by Borbara Doboj! She studied at the Bratislava Conservatory of Music in Bratislava, Czech Republic, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with Zuzana Ruzicicover, one of the country's leading harpsichordists and a master teacher, and won a prize at the Bruges International Harpsichord Competition in 1983. Following her previous work "Volume 1" (BMCCD 275), the famous Hungarian female harpsichordist, Borbála Dobozy, who was trained by Johann Sonleitner and Nikolaus Harnoncourt at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, now presents "The Mean Clavier Pieces, Volume 2"! The instrument used in this "Volume 2" is a replica model of the "Johann Heinrich Halas, made around 1706," which was completed in 2018 after three Czech keyboard instrument makers took over the work that was left unfinished due to the sudden death of the German master craftsman Jürgen Ammer. This is an excellent Bach album that shows us a part of the leap forward and enrichment of ancient music performance in Eastern Europe, and at the same time, it is a tribute album to the master craftsman Jürgen Amner.
