The concert was held on February 16, 1959 at Wawel Castle in Krakow as the opening of an exhibition of national treasures returned from wartime evacuation, and Mawrzyński performed with tremendous passion and "legendary" intensity in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Lutoslawski and other celebrities from various fields. Mawrzynyski gave a "legendary" performance with tremendous passion. This one-of-a-kind recording of this important scene in Polish history is now available on CD for the first time.
