From the "Music of Chopin's Time" series by NIFC, the independent label of the Polish National Chopin Institute, comes an album by Ensemble Dialogi, performed at the "Chopin and His European International Music Festival 2020. Ensemble Dialogi consists of one of its founders, fortepianoist Cristina Escrapez, and Lorenzo Coppola, who has performed with the world's leading baroque orchestras, including the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and La Petite Band, from 1991 to 2004. The ensemble is composed of a group of highly talented musicians: Esclapes, Lorenzo Coppola, who has performed with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and La Petite Band, Christine von der Goltz, a member of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra from 1991 to 2004, and Bart Aalbeit, principal horn player of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. The ensemble has also performed in Japan in 2019 with some different members, which was very much talked about.On this album, the ensemble performs works by Schumann and Chopin with the Polish composer František Ressel, who studied with Haydn, in a performance so expressive that it is hard to believe that this is an ancient music ensemble.
