The “Debut (Young Talent)” series, presented by the National Chopin Institute of Poland (NIFC) on its own “NIFC” label, introduces promising young artists. The fourth release features Piotr Aleksiewicz, born in 2000, who is currently studying at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School. Alekszewicz has taken master classes with Dan Tai Son, Jacques Rouvier, and Dmitri Alexeev, and won both the Grand Prix and the Audience Prize at the prestigious 2017 Gannay International Piano Competition in France. He also won first prize and the Concerto Prize at the 2017 National Chopin Piano Competition in Gdańsk, Poland, as well as the “Golden Parnassus 2018 Award” at the 8th International Piano Forum in Sanok, Poland. She is considered one of the most talented young pianists of her generation in Poland and has also performed at the “Chopin and His Europe International Music Festival” in both 2018 and 2019.
