The Polish National Chopin Institute's own label, NIFC, which presides over the festival, has released rare live recordings of Makoto Ozone from 2006 and 2007. Makoto Ozone is one of Japan's leading jazz pianists, and has also been active internationally in classical music performances and cross-over projects that transcend genres.He also performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 with Alexander Rabinovich-Barakovsky & Sinfonia Varsovia at the 2006 Chopin Festival, and played fortepiano with the Historical Orchestra for the same piece in 2024, but this one was performed on a Steinway. And at the 2007 Chopin Festival Live, she also performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of Tadaaki Otaka.
