Formed in 1971 by Jozef Skrzek (b/key/vo), Apostolis Anthimos (g) and Jerzy Piotrowski (drs/perc), the band has been active in the Polish progressive rock scene since then. This is a live album of studio live/session recordings from the band's early days in '75/'76, which was released on GAD Records in Poland in '18 in LP format only, and reissued on CD in '24! This CD contains 4 studio live tracks: "Marsz galernikow", "Pater" and "Przebudzenie" recorded in January '76 for the soundtrack of a short news film, and "Na ten czas" recorded in May '75 for radio broadcast. Originally included as part of the compilation box "Lost Tapes Vol. 2" released by Metal Mind Productions in 2006, the box is now out of print and is a rare find.The album is characterized by a crossover of gloomy, sludgy improvisation, played mainly on keyboards with effects/sound collage, and a crescendo of aggressive ensemble playing, led by a rhythm section that runs through repetitive phrases without looking ahead. The 20-minute-plus suite "Na ten czas" is a particularly strong piece that appeals to Crimson and R.I.O. freaks as well, with a heavy, extreme band sound that eschews the symphonic/pop sensibility that is one of SBB's signature characteristics.This is a work where you can enjoy both SBB's unfathomable creativity and even insane performance at once, which you cannot find on other recordings! Included as bonus tracks are 8 songs from a studio session in January '76: "Kolyska", "Wzlot", "Bosa stopa", "Slodkie jak miod", "Karnawal w Rio", "Bez dogrywek", "Na czarno", and "Slodkie jak miod". ("Na czarno" is on the compilation "SONDA 2. MUZYKA Z PROGRAMU TELEWIZYJNEGO" released in '14, and the other 7 songs are also on "LOST TAPES VOL.2").
