One year has passed since the famous Polish pianist Janusz Olejnicak died of a heart attack at the age of 72 in October 2024. One month before his death, he appeared at the "Chopin and His Europe" festival and appeared in good health. He was also scheduled to serve as a jury member for the 2025 International Chopin Piano Competition, but unfortunately, his farewell was sudden.This is a tribute album dedicated by Chopin University Press, an independent label of the publishing house of the Chopin University of Music, where Olejnicak was a professor, featuring live recordings of him made between 2011 and 2023 at the university's concert hall and stored in the archives. The album contains recordings of his live performances at the University's Concert Hall between 2011 and 2023, which have been archived. Oleynichak was loved by his musical colleagues, students, and audiences around the world for his musicality and humanity.It is a cherished piece of memory that will remain forever in the hearts of all who had the honor of meeting him, interacting with him, and listening to him perform.
