The Great Organ of Aarhus Cathedral The Great Organ of Aarhus Cathedral is the largest pipe organ in Denmark with 96 stops and is considered a true masterpiece of the four-century tradition of organ building in Northern Europe. 2018-2020 saw the meticulous and meticulous restoration and addition of this instrument by the Danish Marcussen Organ Workshop ( Marcussen & Son Orgelbyggeri Aps). On this album, Kristian Krogsoe (1982-) from Denmark and Anders Johnsson (1969-) from Sweden perform a program of works from Buxtehude to the present day. The 70-page booklet with commentary (in English) and many photographs tell the story of the restoration, as well as providing sonic evidence of the beautiful sound of the restored instruments.
