Recorded at AVACO Studio in Tokyo, “From Such a Blue Sky” is the second album by Japanese percussionist and ambient music pioneer Midori Takada and Danish guitarist Jakob Bro, following their previous release, “Until I Met You.” Beautiful melodies, meditative percussion, and dreamlike textures intertwine to create an acoustic soundscape featuring piano, percussion, and acoustic guitar. While it is a form of acoustic ambient music, it is not bound by conventional norms, resulting in an expression that resonates like an intimate musical dialogue between the two artists. Midori Takada and Jakob Bro share an open approach to exploring sound as a medium, creating a unique sonic world through their common musical language.
