There are still many world premiere recordings to come A collection of sonatas that Pizendel likely played Pisendel, a virtuoso violinist who performed with the Dresden orchestra, stayed in Venice and received instruction from Vivaldi; he subsequently brought many of Vivaldi’s works back to Dresden. The sonatas included here are believed to be among them. Featuring world premiere recordings, this is a precious program sure to delight enthusiasts. RV231 is a concerto for solo violin and strings; however, since the tutti sections consist of only a single violin part, it can be performed in a chamber concerto format featuring three players—including a viola—plus harpsichord. Isabella Bisson is a violinist born in Bologna. She is a renowned artist who studied in Milan under Lucy van Daal and Stefano Montanari, and later moved to Switzerland to study under Carmignola.
