Description:
World premiere recording of sonatas by cello virtuoso and son of Dallabaco! Giuseppe Clemente Dallabaco is the son of Evaristo Felice Dallabaco (1675-1742), a famous composer and violinist. In terms of time, his father was a composer of the last Baroque period, and his son can be said to be a composer of the pre-classical to classical period. He was also a famous cellist who was well known throughout Europe, and this recording is a collection of sonatas for cello. This is the first recording of his sonatas for cello. As a composer who knew the cello instrument inside and out, the sonatas are impressive for their brilliant technique and beautiful singing in the slow movement, and they bring out the best of the cello. Cellist Elanor Frey, a master of both modern and ancient instruments, studied baroque cello with Paolo Beschi, a leading member of Il Giardino armonico. He has released several recordings with Lorenzo Ghielmi. King International
