Popular arranger/orchestrator Fiona Blythe releases her long-awaited debut album on Bella Union! The album, which has been gradually taking shape over the past five years, features 10 minimalistic, imaginative, and epic songs, all instrumental, using only violin, cello, and piano. With the exception of "Tokyo," which was inspired by a National Geographic article Fiona saw after visiting the city, all of the songs were created in the titular city. For example, "Denton" was inspired by her many trips to London, where Fiona's husband, Midlake bassist Paul Alexander, lived at the time. She describes these songs as "musical selfies" that describe her moods, "I have one foot in classical music and the other in rock music, so to speak. I think it expresses me well.
