Making terrifying black metal, it conjures up tales of medieval England and European history. They hail from the east of England, and the influence of that bleak and flat region resonates throughout their own music. Much of the storytelling comes from the region, especially "Hellfenlic," which centers on the brutal persecution of men and women by the most notorious witch trainer of all, Matthew Hopkins. The album tells the story of his obsession, religious fervor, brutality, and eventual downfall, as The Infernal Sea continues to elevate their terrifying and captivating love performances, consistently captivating audiences.These include performances at major UK festivals such as Bloodstock Festival, Incineration Festival, Damnation Festival, A Night of Salvation, Reaper Fest, Cosmic Void, and and have performed at major UK festivals including Anaal Nathrakh, 1349, Taake, Napalm Death, Akercocke, Nargaroth, Primordial, Hellripper, Tsjuder, Mork, Rotting Christ, Hulder, Strigoi, Abigail Williams, Arch Enemy, and many more, including performances in key support slots for these bands. The band also continues to impress audiences with its straightforward headlining shows, including a series of sold-out shows in 2023.
