After the overwhelming success of Corelli (1653-1713) and with the development of printing technology, the first three decades of the 18th century saw a dramatic development of instrumental music in France, especially violin works. In France at that time, which was crowded with various popular composers such as François Duval and Jaquet de la Guerre, Leclerc and Snaier left behind many technically advanced yet poetic works with varied and fascinating rhythms like dances. In the modern age, their reputation has not yet been fully recognized. In order to break through such a situation, Christie, the king of the ancient music world, and Swarte, a young violin prodigy, have joined forces across generations.
