Esther Billingher, a promising German pianist who has enjoyed a brilliant career as part of the sister duo Duo Billingher alongside violinist Lea Billingher, releases her first solo album on Rubicon! For her solo debut, she has selected a program of piano works based on great Russian ballet music: *Petrushka*, *Romeo and Juliet*, and *The Nutcracker* (arranged by Pretnyov). Through her signature poetic interpretation, she paints a beautiful and joyful fairy-tale world where countless famous melodies come to life. Esther Billingher studied under Karl-Heinz Kemmerling, a renowned German teacher who has trained numerous world-class pianists. She won first prize at the 6th Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition, drawing attention to her talent. She has been invited to various music festivals, such as the MDR Music Festival and the Leipzig Bach Festival, and has performed with numerous orchestras; her active career and versatility have been praised by international media.
