Brecon Baroque harpsichordist Marzin Siviontkiewicz! Bach's second "Golteberg Variations"! Marzin Siviontkiewicz studied at the Music Academy in Poland (Katowice) and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Karol Szymanowski Conservatory), and is currently a lecturer at the Music Academy in Katowice, Poland. He plays various types of harpsichord, clavichord, fortepiano, and organ, and is a member of "Brecon Baroque" led by Rachel Podger, "Arte dei Suonatori" in Poland, "Historical Orchestra "Oh! Historyczna) in Poland, and has performed with Podger on major recordings of Bach, Vivaldi, Biber, and others.Siviontkiewicz's second Bach release is the "Gortberg Variations" from the British label Rubicon, which received great acclaim including a "Recording Arts Special Mention" for the J.S. Bach Harpsichord Concerto Collection (PCCS40418/CCS40418) released by Channel Classics. Goltberg Variations" from Rubicon in the UK! The harpsichord used is a 2016 Matthias Kramer harpsichord, an 18th century German model that was also used in the previous concerto collection. 4 registers produce about 30 different tones and a variety of expressions, bringing out a fresh interpretation of the "Golteberg Variations".
